Cenzolovka said that pro-regime tabloids removed more than 100 articles which included unbacked claims or hate speech directed against protesters at the request of their web service providers because those stories violated both Serbian and European Union regulations.
Serbian university students have taken over their colleges, demanding accountability for the deaths of 15 people in the collapse of a concrete canopy at Novi Sad Railway Station.
IT expert Vladimir Cicovic told Cenzolovka that the articles that were removed were in violation of EU regulations. He approached the providers who own the servers that host Serbian pro-regime tabloids and launched legal proceedings forcing them to delete their offensive stories after warnings from the providers.
